Pandit Brij Bhushan ji Kabra is the original slide guitar designer. Rest are duplicated designers then after in India. He could have easily made U. S. Patent for this instrument. So I dedicate my newly designed instrument as Brijeshwari Veena with authenticated Patent number to Brij Bhushan ji. No award is bigger than musical genius likes of Ustad Ali Akbar khan , Pt. Brij Bhushan ji, Pt. Shivkumar Sharma and Pandit Nikhil Banerjee.

The Great immortal Concert and those who have watched are the most luckiest!! What a marvelous " Taliyon ki Talbadha Gadgadahatat"!! Wonderful!! While in Bombay I heard many a times the Jugalbandi of Sitar-Sarod by Pandit Ravishankar & Ustad Aliakabar Sahab with accompaniment of Ustad Allarkhan Sahab! Then I used feel myself so lucky!! Now I am bit a Envious not having Chance to listen this Live!! But this is nowhere less!! The Great Brijbhushan Kabraji who has highlighted Rag Chandranadan Composed by his Great Guru Ustad Aliakabar Sahab the disciple and the Son of Ati Poojaneeya Ustad Allaudfin khan Sahab!! Ustad Zakir Husain " ke bare me Kya Kahoon"! He is "Kohinoor"! Well trained by his Abbaji Ustad Allarkhan Sahab!! He is by all means versatile seen every where ie in Marathi Natya Sangeet; Bhajan Bhavageet etc. Very Popular & Virtuous Personality!! " Unake Ungaliyon me Khoon nahi magar Bhagawan Natraj ka TAAL bahata hai!! Bahot khoob!! Thanks for uploading such an unforgettable Concert!!

Tunes are touching to heart! As Anup Dey in his Comments mentioned this Raga Tansen presented in Akbar Darbar's Court! Then it was known as Mollo Kaushik and now it is called Malkauns the night Raga! Mind blowing Alaaps! As such whenever I listen Chandranadan; created by the Great Ustad Ali Akabar Khan; the CD in my stock; there after immediately I listen Brijbhushan Kabraji's Chandranadan!! It is so much effective and still develops mood to listen ! Atleast two to three times! Thanks for such uploading!!

Memoirs -------------- The distinguished forgotten artist , Brijbhushan Kabraa ji ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The progressive child Brij bhushan Kabra was born in 1937. He saw in 1956 the lap slide guitar , in Kolkata. Brijbhushan modified it to use this Western instrument in classical music . Initially he learnt classical at his own , played the instrument . Later on became disciple of ustad Ali Akbar Khan. In 1967 when Brijbhushan kabara ji was on top , he discovered two unknown young artists shivkumar Sharma and hariprasad chaurasiya. , No one knew shiv and hariprasad then . Brijbhushan kabara ji brought them to the fore , The music director of "call of the valley "was none other than shri Kabraji. He was Brijbhushan only , who introduced these two new artists . But unfortunately shiv and hari abandoned shri kabara. Kabra was suffering with Rheumatoid arthritis for eight years , shiv hari never went to see him . Even tried to remove his name from" call of the valley ." Even in interviews , these two used to take the whole credit of the vally project . They never mentioned kabra's name Pandit vishwmohan Bhatt ji , made Mohan Veena on basis of kabra ji 's guitar but unfortunately he also took credit for himself and didn't even realise to put forth the name of Mr Brijbhushan kabra.
